The EV Stealth BMW iX towbar provides a quick release engineered latch block mechanism that ensures a tight connection to the vehicle frame, eliminating the jerking and banging associated with other receivers. This solid connection creates less wear and tear on the vehicle transmission and is a more pleasurable ride for the passengers.
A European sourced "plug and play" wiring harness is also included to complement a wide variety of accessories. The Active harness when connected will:
Provide trailer light functions;
Give the driver the ability to select tow loads (low, med or heavy) to recalculate range;
Disable the rear-up sensors;
Engage both the front and rear motors; and
disable auto-braking mechanism
Stealth Hitches are ADR Compliant and internationally rated to match the vehicles rated tow capacity. The test loads satisfy a rated capacity (ATM) of 2,500kg and a maximum ball weight of 270kg.
