The EV Stealth BYD Sealion 5 towbar is currently under design and development. The protype is being is being designed and likely tested in May. The towbar will be certified to match the maximum towing capacity for the vehicle.

We will design and certified the towbar to the following specs;

  • Max Unbraked/Braked Towing Capacity – 750kgs

  • Max Ball Weight – 75-100 kgs

This will be the first towbar to be made available in Australia for the BYD Sealion 5. Available Jun-July 2026.

  • No knee banging or shin busting given the removable ball mount and tow components. Hitch sits flush and permanently under the bumper

  • Lifetime Structural Warranty for as long as you own your car

  • Designed to complement the aerodynamic contours and underbody airflow of vehicle

  • Includes : Australian Universal ECU wiring harness and 7-pin flat plug, fixed 50mm square hitch receiver, removable ball mount, 50mm tow ball, shackles, and lockable/removable pin.

  • Excludes: Installation, however we can connect you to one of our approved network of installers around Australia
