Coming Soon. Together with the KIA EV OWNERS CLUB (KEVOC), our Kia EV5 EV Stealth Towbar is under development and under going compliance testing.
Our bestseliing EV towbars will be certified for towing up to 1,250kg's & 150kg ball weight. Although owners should check the towing capacity of their KIA EV5 variant. Current tow rating approvals as follows;
Long Range 2WD 18" (Air) – 1,250kgs
Long Range 2WD 19" (Earth) – 1,250kgs
Long Range 4WD 19" (Earth) – 1,250kgs
Long Range 4WD GT-Line – 1,250kgs
Standard Range 2WD 18" (Air) – 300kgs
Standard Range 2WD 18" (Light) – 300kg
EV Stealth is currently working on a dedicated plug & play smart wiring harness (like we have available for Kia EV9 and EV6), which will communicate with the vehicle when a trailer or bike rack is plugged in to disable sensors and other auto-brake safety features.
Please note some Kia EV5 variants may not be compatible with the smart wiring, and hence a passive univeral wiring hanress will be used due to the factory set-up on the vehicle.
